Lincoln Cent Pennies – Collectors love them while most people hate
If you cross a street and you see a quarter on the ground you pick it up? I bet you. Now, if the piece you saw him lying there was a penny, would you still pick up? Some people would say, if she was lying the I might also pick up a coin that is lying face-down may bring bad luck. How come people do not say that word if it was a quarter or a dollar bill lying on the ground, face down. It all comes down to value for money, if it is picked up or not. I think most Children pick up a penny for them a couple can still buy penny candy, and a collector Lincon cents, a penny face down or face may be a rare find just waiting for an owner.
It's strange how the poor little penny gets such a bad reputation people, when your line a store of angry people if your account with a bunch of them, and they seem to be in the ashtray of everybody vehicle, or box glove as there is a piece of trash. But for me it has always been the same thing to have a dime, penny or anything else. I mean Come on guys, you would not throw a nickel on, so why a penny. It is so bad that now days many stores keep a few on the counter in a container and people can have a couple for free if they need change, I hope they get to the point where they do it for one day dollars. I remember a when my wife and I was happy to have a jar of pennies, so we can roll them and take them to the local bank for money necessary evil, now I am happy to say these days seem desperate to have disappeared for me, but I bet there are still many people who want save, and run for their money money When hard times come
The Lincoln Cent has been around since 1909, it is the oldest design coinage of the United States. The Lincoln Cent was the first regular U.S. coin minted that used a picture about it. A sculptor named "Victor David Brenner was chosen because of his talents, by President Theodore Roosevelt to create the portrait of Lincoln Cent. In fact, President Roosevelt saw a plaque that Brenner had made several years earlier that had the image of President Lincoln on that.
Indian Head Cents, Flying Eagle Cents, Cents and Grand, has not had the motto "In God We Trust" on them, in fact, the percentage Lincoln was the first U.S. penny or a hundred who had the motto "In God We Trust" placed on it. In 1909, the first year of Lincoln Cents release coins had the initials of the author the "VDB", but after the play was released many people complained that the original designers of the value of the affected room to print large letters "VDB" were removed, then in 1918 they were back on the penny, but very small and hidden under the shoulder of Lincoln. From the exit cents in 1909 to 1958, the reverse of the Lincoln Cent has revealed two stalks of wheat, one on each side of the coin. In 1959, a new design has been published for the rear of the Lincon Cent, this design was the "Lincoln Memorial", which is still on the parts today. In 1943, copper became scarce and was needed for the military, so that the Mint has produced Lincoln Cents from galvanized steel, these parts are colored gray or chalky.
With nearly one hundred years of the movement, the Lincoln Cent in many key dates and varieties error make some of them are popular for collectors. Some are searched hundred Lincoln sought by collectors: "1909-S VDB," 1914 – D "," 1922 Plain, "1944 D S ', the 1955 Double Die Lincoln others who die are two errors on the obverse of a few cents dated of 1936, 1972, 1984 and 1995 and on the back of a few cents dated 1983.
